What are Stone Pans? A stone pans cooking surface is made of crushed particles of rock that are combined with a nonstick element. With this stone micro-coating, it boasts of having a natural hot stone cooking surface which is not only nonstick, but also highly durable and abrasion resistant. It has been claimed that stone lined pans are 10 times more durable than traditional nonstick teflon pans.
The handles are riveted to a 7 alloy diecast pan with a stainless steel bottom. So it will work on induction stoves as well. Comes in three different sizes. These pans do not come with lids.
The trick to any stone pan to is heat it up first before adding any food to them. This heating process expands the stone coating to allow for a better non-stick surface.
