Bourbon Cherry Cobbler
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 cup of Bulleit or Woodford Reserve bourbon
- 1 pound fresh cherries - pitted
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Place butter in a cast iron skillet.
- Transfer to the oven to melt butter.
- Place cherries and bourbon into a small bowl. Set aside.
- While the butter is melting, into a large bowl mix together: flour, sugar, milk and baking powder.
- Add cherries and bourbon. DO NOT MIX
- Pour mixture into the hot skillet.
- Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
