Bourbon Cherry Cobbler


  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup of Bulleit or Woodford Reserve bourbon
  • 1 pound fresh cherries - pitted
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place butter in a cast iron skillet. 
  3. Transfer to the oven to melt butter.
  4. Place cherries and bourbon into a small bowl. Set aside.
  5. While the  butter is melting, into a large bowl mix together: flour, sugar, milk and baking powder. 
  6. Add cherries and bourbon.  DO NOT MIX
  7. Pour mixture into the hot skillet. 
  8. Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
